Elli Quilts -- It all started with a wonky, rainbow-colored memory quilt
Greetings! I’m Lauren, but around here, I go by Elli – a nod to my beloved grandmother, Eleanor, fondly known as Elli. My venture, Elli Quilts, pays homage to her craft and spirit. While my grandmother dazzled with needlepoint, my passion lies in quilting. Turning this passion into my livelihood has been a lifelong dream fulfilled.
My journey with quilting began early, fashioning my first memory quilt top (shown on left) from cherished family garments at just 11 years old. However, it wasn’t until my early 20s that I fully immersed myself in the art, mastering the intricate process of quilt finishing, particularly through the use of longarm quilting machines. This revelation transformed my creative path, enabling me to tackle projects with newfound efficiency and beauty.
The birth of Elli Quilts stems from a 15-year hiatus on completing that initial quilt top. Ultimately, in my quest for a perfect assembly method, longarm quilting emerged as the path forward for me. I became captivated with its seamless fusion of form and function. Since my dedication to quilting in 2013, my style has evolved to embrace a bright modern aesthetic, contemporary flair, scrappy charm, and eclectic whimsy. Yet, my passion transcends stylistic boundaries; I relish the opportunity to enhance the unique character of each quilt top that crosses my frame.

What We're Working With..
Elli Quilts is proud to work with the Innova brand longarm quilting machine. It is the pinnacle of quilting machines. No need to have any worries about sending away your precious quilt top. Innnova is clearly the best in the business and Elli Quilts is proud to work with their top-of-the-line, M Series machine with the largest throat capacity available of 28". This allows for more options for larger and expansive designs on your quilt tops! The M28 machine is installed on the largest, 12-foot-wide quilting frame which even accomodates those really huge, King-sized quilts! This state-of-the-art machine makes for the fastest turnaround and the most beautiful finishes. Don't let her sleek, pretty exterior fool you; she is a workhorse with consistent, beautiful stitches that will finish your quilts with perfection!
